MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – April 2, 2018 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Patrick Barrett
Also Present: Ted Locke, Mira Munson, Cathy Parzych, Pat Storey,
Michael Sullivan and Jeff LaCasse

Michael Sullivan and Jeff LaCasse discussed the possibility of the Tolland 501C3 leasing the roof of the Public Safety Complex to install a solar array. The monies earned would be ear marked for the purchase of a new fire truck. Mike was requested to look into any other towns that may have gone through the process. Also, legal counsel will be contact for his opinion.
Pat Story voiced concerns with Tolland not having a written bylaw for the purpose of a town caucus. Sue stated that she had contacted the Elections Division and was told that without a bylaw Tolland should continue to hold the caucus as we have in the past. Pat would like the Selectboard to consider writing a bylaw
Selectboard reviewed all Fiscal 2019 budgets as presented. Further discussion was had in regards to the Emergency Management budget including the “Command Trailer”. Ted felt strongly that the monies for the trailer should not be included within the budget. Selectboard will discuss further after talking with the Fire and Police Chief.
